Finding The Axe

You have a friend who is a woodcutter. He cuts wood from the forest for his living but today you see that he is sitting in front of his house with tears in his eyes. You ask him why and he tells you that someone has hidden his axe and he is unable to find it. He cannot go to work without the axe. You tell him to stop crying and you assure him that you will find the axe for him. You know that finding the axe will be possible only if you can solve a series of puzzles but you are willing to do anything for your friend.
